Qs: 1 How do international visitors register themselves?
Ans : 1 International Visitors can register online, which complimentary. Registrations link is presently active. Registration can be done, by uploading mandatory documents. However, from 1st Aug onwards a fee of US $ 100 will be applicable.
   
Qs: 2 What are the domestic visitor registration fees?
Ans: 2 For GJEPC Members for first person only*
Ø 15th March - 15st May, 2009 Rs.702/
Ø 16th May - 30th June, 2009 Rs. 1655/
Ø 01st July - 10 August, 2009 onwards Rs. 3860/
 
 
For Non-Members:
Ø 15th March - 15th May, 2009 Rs.1105/
Ø 16th May - 30th June, 2009 Rs. 2210/
Ø 01st July - 10 August, 2009 onwards Rs. 3860/-
 
   
Qs: 3 What documents are required for Domestic visitor's registration?
Ans: 3 For Members:
Ø 2 recent color passport size photographs
Ø GJEPC membership certificate
Ø Visiting Card with your name and designation on it
Ø Valid photo ID
 
 
For Non-Members:
Ø 2 recent passport size photographs
Ø Valid Sales Tax registration certificate or Tin
Ø Visiting card of your firm with name and designation
Ø Valid photo ID
 
   
Qs: 4 Can we register at the venue?
Ans: 4 Yes, you can register at the venue at Registration Counter paying applicable fees
   
Qs: 5 What discount on group booking?
Ans: 5 No, There is No discount for group booking
   
Qs: 6 Is my entry pass transferable?
Ans: 6 No
   
Qs: 7 What are the show timings?
Ans: 7 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.(6th - 9th August 2009)
  10.00 am to 5.00 pm (10th August 2009)
   
Qs: 8 Can we purchase jewellery by paying cash, during the show?
Ans: 8 No, it's a pure B2B show. You can only place the orders with the exhibitors
   
Qs: 9 Do you have International Pavilions?
Ans: 9 Yes, we have international pavilions from Antwerp, Israel, Dubai, Thailand, Turkey and Italy
   
Qs: 10 Who are the Exhibitors?
Ans: 10 Our major Exhibitors are National and International jewellery, diamond manufacturer, machinery and allied products related to Gems and Jewellery.
   
Qs: 11 How do I get my Indian visa?
Ans: 11 Each individual will have to obtain their visas from the Indian Embassy/Consulate from their respective countries. To get invitation/ recommendation letter from the Council, kindly fill in online visa application form
   
Qs : 12 How can Student register itself for IIJS 2009
Ans: 12 Ø Recommendation letter from the Institute
Ø Current year STUDENT Photo ID Card.(Only institutes from the Gem & Jewellery Industry will be allowed for the above)
Ø 2 Recent color passport size photographs
   
Qs: 13 What are timing for the Student Entry into the Exhibitions?
Ans: 13 Students are allowed entry to the exhibition ONLY from 1 pm onwards on all days
   
Qs: 14 What are the charges to visit only Machinery Section
Ans: 14 Rs.665/- only to visit Machinery Section
   
Qs :15 How one would receive their Visitors badges
Ans: 15 For Domestic Visitors : Visitors Badges will be sent by courier/post one month prior to the show, or if they wish they can get it collected from the Council's Exhibition Cell
For International Visitors : They can get it collected from the Registration Hall (Hall 7) on their arrival
   
Qs16 Where is the Exhibitors Information?
Ans16 The Exhibitors information will be online as soon as we receive the same from the Exhibitors.
   
Qs:17 Are you conducting Roadshows?
Ans17 Yes, we are conducting International as well as Domestic Roadshows.
   
Qs18 How do Press/ Media register themselves?
Ans18 There will be online Press/ Media registration
   
Qs: 19 Is the accommodation easily available?
Ans: 19 Yes, Organisers have tied up with few hotels nearby venue at unbeatable rates, but advance booking is recommended. Our official hotels' room reservations link is available with option of online reservation.
   
Qs: 20 Do the hotels provide to & fro airport transportation?
Ans: 20 Yes, airport transfers are included in the room rates at official hotels.
   
Qs: 21 Who are the Visitors?
Ans: 21 Manufactures, Whole sellers, Retailers, Overseas Jewellery trade buyers & Students
   
Qs: 22 What are the customs procedures for my goods bought for
Ans: 22 Goods can be bought under ATA carnet or TIB
   
Qs: 23 How do I clear my goods from the customs?
Ans: 23 This will be done by official freight forwarder appointed for the exhibition in co ordination with MMTC and Customs.(Please note the whole exhibition area itself is a custom bonded area)
   
Qs 24 What is the duty structure in India for importing or for selling
Ans 24 Product Duty
Silver , Gold, Platinum (Plain & Studded) %
Cut & Polished Diamonds 0%
Rough color gemstones 0%
Cut & Polished color gemstones 5%
Semi Precious stones 5%
Jewellery related Machinery (Basic) 10%
   
Qs25 Can exhibitors do online booth booking?
Ans 25 No
   
Qs: 26 Is there an overnight storage / safe facility available at venue?
Ans: 26 Safes can be provided to each exhibitor at extra cost
   
Qs 27 How would Exhibitors apply for the exhibitors badges & other
Ans 27 Exhibitors Manual will be online form 1st July, 2009, hence all the services related to the exhibitors would be available in the Online Exhibitors Manual. Request for Exhibitors badges, Extra Furniture & accessories can be done online
   
Qs28 How can an exhibitor/ visitors clarify their queries ?
Ans28 Reply to the queries would be given, if it is posted through online Help desk,
   
Qs: 29 Where do they come from?
Ans: 29 All over India and different parts of the world
   
Qs: 30 Does cafeteria provide Jain food?
Ans: 30 Yes, Jain Food is available at the cafeteria
   
Qs: 31 Is non veg food available?
Ans: 31 No
   
Qs: 32 Is parking facility available at the venue?
Ans: 32 Not at the venue but nearby to the venue
   
Qs33 Do we have Seminars this Year?
Ans33 Yes, We will be conducting seminars.
